UV LED products for eyelash extensions

The UV LED curing process hardens the special lash glue under the UV LED light almost instantly. It reduces issues related to room temperature and humidity, minimizes "stickies" and bonds the glue fumes instantly. UV LED lash application is often faster and results in better retention. UV curing in eyelash extensions requires extra safety precautions for both the client and the lash artist. Please read our UV LED safety article before using any of these products.

UV LED lashes FAQ

What are UV LED lashes?

UV LED lash extensions use a special glue cured with UV light. The lash glue cures almost instantly using a UV LED light. After mastering the technique, it speeds up the application time and offers a stronger, longer-lasting bond and better retention.

What is the difference between UV and regular lash extensions?

The main difference is the special glue for the UV lashes. Traditional eyelash extensions cure through moisture in the air, UV lash extensions use a specially formulated glue that cures under UV light.

Is UV light safe for lashes?

UV LED curing is an efficient and generally safe method for applying eyelash extensions. To minimize potential risks, always use certified UV LED devices, keep a safe working distance, and ensure clients wear protective eyewear and skin coverings..

How to remove UV lashes?

You can remove the lashes as usual with a normal Gel remover. It may take a few minutes longer to dissolve the UV glue than the regular lash glue.

How to choose a UV lamp?

Look for certified UV LED devices with clear instructions for usage, especially the safe operating distance according to the safety tests completed.

Purple or White light UV LED bulb?

Purple light usually cures glue faster, while White light is outside the UV light wavelength and does not emit UV radiation. The lash artist should choose the bulb based on the glue used and client feedback.
The Starry Flow lamp kit includes two 5W LED bulbs: a PURPLE light bulb (395–400 nm) and a WHITE light bulb (405 nm, 6500K).

How to prepare the lashes for UV lash application?

Prepare the lashes the same way as for regular extensions: start with a lash shampoo and finish with an alcohol-based primer.

Are UV LED lashes allergy-free?

UV lash glues still contain acrylates that are the main reasons for allergic reactions. The fast curing and instant bonding of the glue fumes may help in some cases, but the process itself is not 100% allergy free.
